Vacuum DC Tromb 400 Twin

The DC Tromb 400 Twin is a portable but very powerful dust extractor suitable for large quantities of dust due to its integrated pre-separator. It is particularly suitable for concrete grinding since 80–90% of the coarse materials are separated in the pre-separator. The remaining dust goes into the filter cyclone. The DC Tromb Twin is a flexible machine since it is powerful enough for most applications yet it can be easily moved and transported. The air flow capacity is suitable for concrete floor grinding machines with diamond discs of up to 500 mm/20” diameter.

The DC Tromb Twin is delivered as standard with the following:

  • Antistatic hose set Ø 2” /50 mm x 25’/7,5m

Marking Filtering Efficiency

In order to ensure that the dust extractor meets the requirements outlined in the relevant work environment provisions, it is classified in line with a standardised test. In accordance with the EN-60335-2-69 standard for the testing of dust and water extraction units, there are three classifications for dust extractors: L for low, M for medium and H for high. The category required for a specific application is determined on the basis of the maximum allowable concentration (MAC) for that type of dust in the work environment.

In accordance with EN-60335-2-69, the test comprises two phases:
1. Testing of the filter system (fine filter and HEPA filter, where relevant).
2. Testing of the fully assembled dust extractor.

H – High is the class with the most stringent criteria, stipulating a filtration efficiency of 99.995% for particles measuring from 0.1 to 5.0 μm. The machine is capable of maintaining a MAC
(maximum workplace concentration) of <0.1 mg/m3. The machine is approved for separation of carcinogenic substances such as silica and asbestos.

M – Medium has an efficiency of >99%.
MAC > 0.1 mg/m3.

M – Medium has an efficiency of >99%.
MAC > 0.1 mg/m3.

The machine is certified by a third party – IFA, in
Germany – to ensure compliance with the strictest
requirements in line with German asbestos removal
standards.
